Rifle Stock Bedding and/or Replacement

Another possible Gunsmithing category, this is the second most  accuracy problem we run into.

It’s not uncommon for factory rifles to be sold new and be improperly bedded. We recently “pressure tip” bedded a Weatherby Accumark (my favorite all time factory production rifle) because its third round in the group would be a constant flier. This $1800 factory rig comes equipped with a Criterion button rifled barrel (which may be the best on the production market) and Mark 5 action (maybe the strongest on the market). Still, its performance was subpar.

All it took was a little J&J Precision tweaking (stock bedding work) and the “Weatherby Machine” threw ‘em in one neat little hole.

IT’S WHAT WE LOVE TO DO!
